Homeschool Hotline
Homeschooling is wonderful — but it’s also a big commitment for the whole family. Sometimes you just need a little extra support and guidance along the way.
I love education and I love learning alongside my children. We’ve found the freedom of home education empowering and full of adventure.
Every family is different, but we all share the same hope — to see our children grow and thrive within the beautiful environments of our homes.
Homeschool Hotline exists to help parents get the most out of their home education journey — whether you’re just beginning or ready to take the next step.
I’m so glad you’re here.

Our story
Have you heard that song by Fleetwood Mac, Everywhere? You know the line, I want to be with you everywhere. That is my homeschool anthem.
Ok so, full transparency, I don’t always want to be everywhere with my kids. But when it comes to learning I do love to be there with my kids.
I am a complete nerd about it, and I have a few super powers that takes our education to fantastic levels.
We started our homeschool journey in Brisbane over 8 years ago. Then when we started moving around for my husband’s work. Today we live in rural Queensland and home education has only become more valuable.
Now I have 2 homeschool graduates and 2 teens homeschooling through their high school years.
Meet Jillina
Listen to my story on the Motherland Australia podcast.
We live in a rural town on the edge of the Queensland Outback. I am married to a police officer, and we use to live with our four kids in a house attached to the police station. From our isolation, HERRD (Home Education Regional & Rural Discussion) was formed.
Back in 2021, I was interviewed by Steph Trethewey for her Motherland podcast; real and raw stories of rural Australian women. In my conversation with Steph, I open up about my journey of motherhood and home education, and what it’s like to be a police officer’s wife living in the bush.
