Have you HERRD?

Three people walking along a dusty dirt path through a dry, desert-like landscape with sparse vegetation and reddish-orange soil. The scene appears to be in a rural area.

Home Education Regional & Rural Discussion (HERRD).

My mission is to support families who choose homeschooling over distance education or boarding school. Speaking from experience, I know what it’s like to home educate in country Australia. I hope that by highlighting regional and rural homeschooling, parents will feel a sense of community, even if they live miles away from one.

That is why I have created the Home Education Regional and Rural Discussion Facebook community group. To connect parents, share knowledge, and provide education opportunities for HERRD students.

Homeschooling in Regional & Rural Australia.

The best part of homeschooling is learning anywhere at anytime. But if you live regional or rural there are some unique challenges and opportunities. Big distances, shonky internet, and lack of services can be the norm. But geography doesn’t have to stop you!
